New eBaywatch, new format. I’ll keep playing with the format till I settle on one I like. Or perhaps I’ll keep changing it. Let’s see.
Anyway, this week we have a project (if you feel perky and industrious); something boxfresh (if you don’t); and a preview of a few things to come.
A PROJECT
I love folding chairs. Come to think of it, I think I love most furniture that folds. There’s something about the honest utility of a folding chair that appeals. The Plia is a classic. But often the seat and or back get damaged. Like this one.
You can get official replacement parts direct from the manufacturer, here. Either the seat, the back or both.
Depending on whether you replace just the seat or both the seat and back, you could nab yourself a good deal on a lovely chair.
SOMETHING BOXFRESH
The IKEA Frekvens range came out in 2020, so this speaker doesn’t feel old enough to be called new old stock. But it is new and the box is unopened, which is nice. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, there are all sorts of accessories you can team up with these speakers. This is a nice opportunity to get your hands on a clean example of a future classic.
A PREVIEW
I’m slightly obsessed by mid-century Scandinavian glassware. I think I’ll end up writing a few things about various maufactureres and products. In the meantime, he’s a little taster. This blocky vase by Finland’s Riihimaki comes in a number of colours. This green one really pops.
If you can get one of these for less than £50 I would consider it a good deal. Bidding on this one currently stands at £37.
